A Sweet Recap of 2025

For our final Scoop of the year, I’m breaking away from our usual format to share a look back at everything that unfolded at Cake Business School in 2025.

As always, this newsletter exists to support you, the home-based baker, as you build skills, confidence, and a business that truly works for you.

There’s no denying that 2025 brought its challenges. Rising ingredient costs made things tougher for many home bakers, and the year required flexibility, creativity, and resilience. But it also brought growth, learning moments, and plenty of wins worth celebrating.

Through it all, Cake Business School has been here to support you on every step of your journey, and that won’t change. As we look ahead to 2026, our mission remains the same: to help you unlock your full potential and continue building a baking business you’re proud of.

🎙️ New Ways to Connect🎙️

👉 The Secret Ingredient: Stirring Up Success in Your Baking Business

📰Simplifying How We Show Up📰

You may have noticed a change in our newsletter frequency. Instead of weekly updates, we now do them twice a month!

Like many of you, I was juggling a lot, and I realized that simpler, more intentional communication served us all better. My goal is for these emails to feel useful, supportive, and easy to enjoy.

Sometimes, simplifying is exactly what allows us to show up better.

💸 Making Education More Accessible💸

Bootcamp Price Drop - $29.99 to $9.99!!

This decision came straight from my mission: I want home-based bakers to have access to real business education without it feeling out of reach.

So many bakers are doing incredible work but struggle to stay profitable. Dropping the price was my way of removing one more barrier and making support easier to say "yes" to.

Helping you build a baking business that actually makes sense will always be our priority!

🖨️Trying Something New (& Fun!)🖨️

SSCC Enterprise + Snarky Sweet Cake Chick Series

In October of 2025, I welcomed a brand-new piece of equipment to my own home-based baking business (Snarky Sweet Cake Chick, LLC). Straight from Icing Images, this Little Blue Direct-to-Food Printer allows me to print edible images onto almost anything!

If you don't know about these amazing machines, they are a game changer! Most Blue printer owners even come up with clever nicknames for their printers. Because I'm a huge Star Trek fan (aka Trekkie), I chose the name SSCC Enterprise for my new toy.

I've been so excited to try new things on it, that I created the "Can I Print on That?" series on Instagram. I'm testing everything from produce to baked goods. So, check it out!!

🍰 A Personal Shift🍰

Wedding cakes → Printed items

After nearly 30 years, I am retiring from creating wedding cakes. I’ve made the decision to step away from that revenue stream and focus more on direct-to-food printed items.

This shift gives me more flexibility, creative freedom, and a business model better aligned with where I am right now. It’s a reminder that it’s okay to evolve (even after decades!) and build a business that supports the season you’re in.

🌟 Looking Ahead to 2026🌟

Count down to 2026-01-01T07:00:00.000Z

Thank you for being part of the Cake Business School family. Keep learning, keep baking, and keep building the business you love!
