📅 Workshop #2 Is Coming 📅
It's the One You've Been Asking For...
Sunday, June 14th | 6:00pm – 7:30pm MST

The Slice is Right!
Pricing Your Cottage Goods for Profit
This is my most requested topic. And honestly, it's not hard to see why.
Underpricing is the #1 mistake I see cottage food makers make; you might think it's because you're bad at math. But really, it's because nobody ever taught you how to think about pricing the right way.
We're fixing that, June 14th.
Here's what we'll cover:
- Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) — what it actually costs to make your product
- Gross Profit vs. Net Profit — why the difference matters more than you think
- Overhead Costs — what they are and how to calculate them in a home-based food business
- Choosing the right profit percentage mark-up — so you're actually making money, not just breaking even
- Live Q&A — bring your numbers, your questions, and your pricing nightmares
Two ways to join:

Price: $67
Access to this workshop only

The math isn't hard. 😉
🌿 Farmers Market Season Is Here. 🌿
Are You Ready?
Markets are back in full swing, people! If you're selling this season, here are a few tips to make it your best one yet:
🌟Show up like you mean it
Your booth is your storefront. A clean, cohesive display with clear pricing and good signage makes the difference between someone walking past and someone stopping to buy. You don't need to spend a fortune; just a tablecloth, banner, and good labels go a long way.
🌟Price your products visibly
Nothing kills a sale faster than a customer having to ask how much something costs. Every item should have a clear price tag, people will walk away rather than ask.
🌟Bring a sign-up sheet or QR Code to join your email list
Every person who stops at your booth is a potential repeat customer. Have a simple email sign-up so you can let them know where you'll be next week, what's new, and when you're running specials. Your list is your most valuable asset.
🌟Know your numbers before you go
How many units do you need to sell to cover your booth fee? How many to actually make a profit? Know those numbers before you pack the car. If you're not sure how to calculate that, that's exactly what we're covering in the June 14th workshop. 😉
🌟Talk to your customers
People buy from people they like. Ask what they're looking for, share the story behind your product, let them sample if your state allows it. Relationships at the market turn into loyal regulars.
That's all for this week!
As always, reply to this email with questions, wins, or just to say hi. I read every one.
See you in a few weeks for the next edition of the Cottage AF Newsletter! But...
